Robert Half is Hiring an Immigration Attorney Near Catonsville, MD

We are currently seeking an experienced Attorney/Lawyer with a focus on immigration law to join our team in Maryland. This role requires an individual with a strong understanding of immigration law, including deportation defense, asylum claims, work visas, and marriage visas. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting legal screenings, managing cases, and representing clients in various immigration matters.Responsibilities:• Managing a caseload concerning various immigration matters including asylum, special immigrant juvenile status, U- and T-Visas, and other motions and legal memoranda as needed.• Conducting legal screenings and intakes with individuals seeking legal assistance and advising clients on options through proper interpretation of current laws.• Providing ongoing legal representation to clients commencing with the initial intake, drafting of documents, correspondence, and client applications/petitions.• Representing clients before US Citizenship and Immigration Services and Maryland Immigration Courts, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Executive Office of Immigration Review and Board of Immigration Appeals.• Maintaining certifications and/or licenses and attending ongoing trainings to maintain updated knowledge of immigration law.• Participating in stakeholder relationship activities, including in-person and telephonic meetings with community groups, governmental bodies and representatives, and other legal service providers.• Ensuring complete, accurate, and timely documentation for each case file in accordance with grant and organization requirements.• Collaborating across organization programs and grant partners to ensure that client and agency goals are met.• Developing and maintaining knowledge on best practices in trauma-informed case management and immigrant integration strategies.
